The Best Thing Since Sliced Bread Is Here and It’s Sliced Chocolate

HOLY MOLY. We love chocolate a pretty serious amount. Like a chronic amount. Like a we-can't-go-very-long-without-needing-a-fix kinda amount. Sliced chocolate is a thing and it’s about to make every other sandwich in the world feel inferior. Japanese company Bourbon has unveiled the culinary masterpiece and people are losing their shit. Each pack contains five 2mm thick slices of chocolate. The chocolate is what the Japanese call “nama chocolate”. It’s not as sweet as fudge, but it has a richer flavour than normal milk chocolate. We can already think of a billion uses for the slices, but Bourbon has included some mouth-watering suggestions. The sliced chocolate is a cake decorator's dream, it can be cut and sliced and assembled and played with. Oh, the dream. Online orders can only be placed for bulk bundles of a dozen five-slice packs (which cost 3,240 yen or €24). Here's to hoping it arrives in our locals pretty sharpish.
