"Something as simple as eating eggs at dinnertime can be a natural sedative as egg whites help the body prepare for bedtime by producing melatonin - which brings on that sleepy feeling".Okaaaaay. We can see the sense in it but having eggs for dinner isn't exactly a common choice. Sharon continued:
"They are also a rich source of the amino acid typtophan, which means that they help you to sleep better for longer by telling your brain to shut down for the night".We're not sure if this idea will catch on but if it helps us to get to sleep quicker and for longer, it has to be worth a try.
