A traditional Moscow Mule is served in a copper mug, but your favourite chunky glass will work just as well. For this Russian classic, simply pour some ginger beer and a shot (or two) of vodka over ice, and squeeze in the juice of half a lime. For extra flavour, add a sprig of mint to the top.
Every cocktail aficionado worth her salt should have this classic beverage in her wheelhouse. Whiskey Sours are loved the world over, and the only ingredient you might have to pop out and buy is the cocktail cherry. Simply shake up your favourite whiskey with some lemon juice, some maple syrup and ice for that signature taste. Garnish with some orange peel, a cocktail cherry and voilà.
It's hard to go wrong with this crowd-pleaser. To make a mojito, combine white rum with fresh mint, sugar, lime juice and soda water to taste. If you're feeling fancy, customize your cocktail with whatever fruit you have in the house - mango, raspberries, you name it. A sprig of basil will also go down well.
