These Five Everyday Habits Are Responsible For Your Boobs Sagging

This is VERY concerning.

Her

It’s a sad and depressing fact that eventually all women’s boobs will sag.

Yes, you can hope and pray, but breast tissue really isn’t on your side.

According to a recent study from UCLA, breast tissue ages two to three years faster than the rest of your body.

Which is a scary enough thought in itself, before you realise that your everyday habits could be sending your pair down south.

So how are you mishandling your lovely lady lumps?

Smoking

If you ever needed a reason to stub out those cigarettes, Michael Edwards, M.D., a breast surgeon and president of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery has the perfect reasoning:

“Any amount of smoking weakens and ages skin by decreasing the blood supply to the skin surface.”

Leading to sagging, dull skin.

Fad Diets

While it’s always important to make positive life choices, Edwards warns patients that rapid weight loss or gain has a massive impact on your boobs.

If your weight constantly fluctuates by 10 pounds, “your breast tissue becomes more slack, kind of like old tights.”

Wearing the Wrong Size Bra

If you need any more proof that you should be getting regularly measured for your cup size, this is the stat to send you straight to the fitting room.

Edwards adds:

“The more your boobs bounce around, the more stressed breast skin and collagen become.”

Whether you’re wearing a poorly fitted sports bra, or feeling the strain in an ill-fitting squeeze, make sure your pair are properly supported to relieve the strain on your chest.

Skipping on Suncream

We all know the dangers of exposing our face to the sun and regularly invest in make-up with a high SPF, but did you know those UV rays are ageing your breasts too?

If you wear scooped necklines, the sun exposure can lead to premature wrinkles, and breast sagging by stretching out collagen and damaging skin.

High-Impact Workouts

While Edwards doesn’t have the exact research findings to back this up, the surgeon has noted that patients who take part in repetitive cardio exercise can see a sag in their breast muscles.

Instead opting for a mix of body resistance, weight training and alternative exercises like swimming will give you the benefits of exercise without the buxom burnout.
