23-Year-Old Falls To Her Death Attempting To Take Selfie At Tourist Attraction

A 23-year-old holidaymaker plunged 15ft to her death while attempting to take a selfie.

Sylwia Rajchel from Poland was balancing on a ledge of popular the bridge in Spain when she slipped and fell off.

The incident occurred at the Puente de Triana Bridge in Seville, a popular attraction amongst tourists.

According to CEN, Sylwia, who was studying to become a nurse at the University of Medicine in Posada, went into cardiac arrest after the fall and despite paramedics’ best attempts to save her life, the young woman died from her injuries at the Hospital of Traumatology.

In an interview with the Daily Mail, Sylwia’s mother Bernadeta said that her daughter’s venture to Spain was a life-long dream.

“Going to Spain was a dream come true for my daughter. She had taught herself the language and was hoping to work there in the future after finishing her studies.

“She was a beautiful, smiling girl who had her whole life ahead of her”, the 44-year-old continued.

“It’s hard to believe what’s happened, that I will never see Sylwia again. That I won’t hug her and will never be able to tell her how much I love her and how proud I was of her”.
