50 things to do in dublin

We LOVE this!

Every so often, we stumble upon a product that we just fall in love with.

And yesterday evening, it happened.

’50 things to do in Dublin’ is a new and exciting venture by Irishman Damien Kelly, and his lovely fiancée, Elodie Noel.

It’s a groovy jar, bursting with 50 unusual and exciting things to do in Ireland’s capital city.

With its quirky recommendations, it provides countless options for fun, interesting or tasty activities to do around the city.

And you don’t have to be a visitor to enjoy it, either.

Even if you’re a native Dub, there’s always places to discover, pints to drink and burgers to devour.

More than just a city guide, the jar is a homemade craft gift which sits quite beautifully on your shelf.

What makes it more fun than the usual guide is the element of surprise: whether you’re looking for a place to eat, drink, discover or learn about, just open the jar and let the fate decide for you!

But you know what the best part is? The adorable story behind the jar.

We spoke to Damien about the creation, and where the idea came from.

“My girlfriend is Parisian. She moved to Dublin in 2016 and was a little distraught at the thought of leaving her wonderful bread filled homeland.”

“Oh she liked Dublin alright. But to really make her fall in love with the place, I made a jar for her, filled with 50 things to do, to eat, to learn, to see, to discover.”

“Every time friends and family came over to our place, they would say ‘I want that jar!’. So here you are guys. I made it, thanks to the incredible Fatti Burke for making my original creation look so beautiful.”

So you see, there’s a bit of love in every jar!

You can order it on fiftythingstodo.com for a special launching price of €19.99 until December 15th (after that it will cost a reasonable €24.99).

For a niece who is moving to Dublin for her studies, for a cousin who is planning a weekend in the city, or for a born and bread Dubliner who wants to get off the beaten track, the jar is the perfect gift this Christmas!
