It seems as if half the country had that exact thought too, because they flocked to Aldi stores as early as 5am this morning (!) to nab themselves a fire pit or a log burner.

The fire pits and log burners, unsurprisingly sold out at record pace, leaving some people excited to spend the Bank Holiday weekend stuck at home with their new fire-based piece, cosied up outside with a hot chocolate or a glass of wine.
... And left others lamenting the fact that their back gardens will simply not be half as ambient and toasty warm this time around.
