It’s the day they’ve all been waiting on.
If you think back to the year you did your Leaving Cert, there were two days that stood out: the day you received your LC results and the day you found out what college you’re going to.
And now, The Irish Times has confirmed the CAO has issued 76,651 round one offers to over 52,000 applicants this morning.
The publication states that many degree courses saw points drop this year as opposed to years previous.
Courses in teaching, engineering and nursing “generally” went down, while points for courses in law and architecture saw a significant rise.
Many councillors are urging students to take their first round offers as soon as they can.
But we think a major congrats are in order – they can all finally say goodbye to secondary school!
