Mornings are brutal.
Especially at this time of year when it’s cold and dark outside. Prying ourselves from our cosy warm sheets can often seem a lot like hard work.
If you’re anything like us you’ll want to spend as much time as possible hitting snooze before you have to get up and face the day.
So, before you start buying bacon alarm clocks or any other new-fangled gadgets that claim to help get you out of your leaba you might want to try a few of these.
Plan your outfits the night before
Choosing an outfit every morning is just a massive hassle. Try to get a rough idea of what outfits you would like to wear during the week on Sunday evening and make sure they are ironed and clean. It might seem like a pain in the ass but you will be laughing come Friday.
Get the tunes pumping early on
Music can have a massive effect on your productivity and mood first thing in the morning. Get your favorite playlist going or turn on a good radio station to help get you ready for the day ahead.
Leave your curtains open
It is so much easier to get up in the mornings when your room is full of natural light. Try sleeping with your curtains open or make opening them the first thing you do when you wake up. We promise it actually helps.
Turn your social media off
Anyone else guilty of wasting at least 20 minutes scrolling through your news feed every morning? Save your social media trawling for your commute to work and use the time to get more sleep instead.
Buy products that save time
Get yourself a few simple time-saving beauty products and you could end up shaving minutes off your morning routine. Keep things like dry shampoo, leave-in conditioner, and cleansing pads to hand. Try a spray on moisturiser, which applies in seconds, and absorbs instantly for beautiful, soft skin all day long.
Don’t put laddered tights back in your drawer
Just don’t! We’ve all done it before but there is nothing more annoying than realising that there is a massive rip the whole way up your tights when you’re already waiting at the bus stop. The shame!
Use the same handbag all week
And pack the essentials into it the night before, lip balm, keys, charger, purse etc… It will save you rummaging around your room for them before work.
Sorted!
