A bachelor party dropped their plans to rescue a bunch of puppies instead

C’mere, I’ll be honest with you all.

I’m in a very emotional state. I have an overwhelming love for my dog so when I see dogs hurt or neglected or injured, I feel a great deal of sadness.

In the past 24 hours I’ve seen THREE separate stories of extreme animal cruelty and well, my heart is not the better for it.

So these absolute gentlemen have restored my faith in humanity. And I don’t use that term lightly.

So basically, this group of Michigan lads headed off to the woods for a Bachelor party. I do not know why they were going to the woods but they were.

They were making breakfast which happened to include bacon. Dogs love bacon and when it was cooking a gorgeous doggy arrived at the door.

“We were cooking bacon with the door open. The next thing you know, there’s this dog sitting right at the front door. She wouldn’t come inside, but she sat right there,” Mitchel Craddock told ABC News.

The lads were all big softies and they grew fond of the pooch.

“She was such a sweet dog that once we gained her trust, she was happy to see us, wagging her tail — just a big sweetheart,” said Mitchel.

The men realized that the dog had recently had pups, but she looked malnourished and dehydrated. Because they’re good people, they fed her and nourished her.

“After we gave her a bunch of food and water, she started producing milk again. So we figured if she’s making milk, her pups can’t be that old,” said the groom-to-be.

Soon, they discovered the spot where the pups were hiding.

“We set each pup individually down in front of her, and she nuzzled their faces, and she checked out the pups, and to the person holding them, she gave the look of ‘It’s OK, I trust you,’” Mitchel said.

Mammy dog had been taking good care of her babies.

“Every single one had a big fat belly on them. The mom had given the pups literally everything she had,” continued Mitchel.

The men dedicated the rest of their weekend to caring for the puppies.

“We pooled a bunch of money to buy food and beer. After the third day, our beer fund turned into puppy food fund,” said Mitch.

Better yet, the pals all adopted the dogs. Even better, they all live really close together so the doggy brothers and sisters will regularly see each other and get to play.

And that, people, is how all animals should be treated.
