How many of us have dropped our phones down the toilet?
Or screen-down on the footpath? Or down a flight of stairs?
Unfortunately, it’s a common enough occurrence that we’ve all been guilty of at some point or another – and that we usually end up regretting for a very long time.
But a new study has found that there are some people who are clumsier than others when it comes to their phones.
The research, conducted by UK phone repair company iSmash, named James and Sarah as the people who are most likely to damage their handsets.
Emma, Laura, Charlotte and Hannah rounded out the top five names of the clumsiest women; while David, Paul, Mark and Michael are the rest of the top five clumsiest men.
The study also found that iPhones take the top nine spots when it comes to the most-repaired phones, following by a slippery Samsung.
Julian Shovlin, founder of iSmash, added:
“We carried out the research to see if there was any correlation between names and phone breakages, with the results suggesting that certain names have less luck than others.
“Damaging your phone is always inconvenient and if your name is on the list, I would suggest buying a case to help save you from future breakages.
“Thankfully, if you do break your device, there are trusted stores out there that can get your device repaired swiftly and safely, leaving you with minimal downtime, no matter how clumsy you are.”
Using their internal data for their stores, iSmash was able to figure out the names of the clumsiest people – and we definitely know a fair few on the list.
