British MP asked a stupid question about Syrian refugees on Twitter
She'd clearly have been better off just Googling it.
Kate Hoey, the Labour MP for Vauxhall, asked Twitter on Saturday just how many Syrian refugees had been taken in by other Muslim-majority countries.
We can't make any presumptions about the point she was trying to make by asking, but at a time when the United Kingdom and the United States are being roundly criticised for their efforts in trying to take in refugees from war-torn regions in the Middle East, it seemed a strange question for the Brexit advocate to ask — given that millions of Syrian refugees have been taken in by other Muslim countries in the Arab world.
Of course, it took roughly no time for many Twitter users to let Ms. Hoey know exactly how many refugees had been taken in by other countries in the Muslim world.
