Bleak. Totally bleak.
Periods are nasty. They make us bloat, cry, sweat, swear, cry again and eat our weight in chocolate.
Not fun.
But then again, they’re there to remind us that we’re not pregnant… so you know, you take what comes to you.
However, no matter what age you started your period, not much thought really went into how much you’re spending on it.
The BBC has created a calculator which tots up the amount of money you’ve spent on sanitary products in your life so far.
It will also give you an estimate of how much you’ll spend on them in your entire life.
And while it comes up in UK Pounds (which we can easily convert), it does give an insight into just how much it costs to be a woman.
