A woman who tried to troll Campbell’s Soup over their latest ad was quickly shot down in a Facebook powerplay that stood up for equality.
Campbell’s Soup released an ad for the new range around the ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ film, featuring a real-life married gay couple, and their son.

While most people appreciated the sweet ad, not everyone was as supportive.
Unfortunately, some homophobes were angered by the ad – and made it their business to be the loud voice of ‘unreason’.
One woman Jess Hicks contacted Campbell’s Kitchen on Facebook, claiming she was tired of their ‘homosexual agenda’.
But her trolling was no match for one member of the Campbell’s Kitchen Facebook page:

The Campbells ForHelp isn’t employed by the company to monitor their online presence – they just wanted to stand up for LGBT rights following the ad’s initial airing.
The post has now gone viral, with other LGBT supporters sharing the message as a sign of acceptance for a more inclusive portrayal of family life in the media.
Either way, proof that you can’t just hide behind your keyboard anymore.
