Carlow were crowned Liberty Insurance Junior A All-Ireland champions on Sunday after an emphatic 0-14 to 0-3 win over Kerry.
They just had too much for a determined Kerry side on the day, and certainly brought the experience from last year’s final defeat to the occasion to ensure victory this time around.
Indeed, Mark Brennan’s side made no mistake this year, and took the upper hand early on in a game that was a clash between this year’s Division 3 and Division 4 League champions.

Kerry never gave up throughout, and held their own in the first half, going in at the break just two points down (0-5 to 0-3).
However, Carlow found themselves in the driving seat in the second half and points from Player of the Match, Eleanor Treacy, Michelle Nolan and Ciara Quirke added to an impressive final tally and ultimately, drove them to All-Ireland glory.
This is the side’s third trophy this year following League and Leinster final glory earlier this season.
Meanwhile in the Liberty Insurance Premier Junior championship semi-finals, Laois overcame Westmeath 1-16 to 0-8, while Roscommon overcame Dublin 1-9 to 1-5 to tee up a Laois/Roscommon All-Ireland final in Croke Park on September 13th.
