Let's hope this is just a once-off.
As the new Luas line begins testing throughout the city, it seems like it may come into a spot of bother.
The tram hit a few problems today, and had to wait for a van that was illegally parked to move before it could continue its journey.
According to
The Irish Times, Luas spokeswoman, Gráinne Mackin, said: “We are in the bedding-in period and people are on a learning curve, so we did anticipate there were would be some problems with illegal parking at the start.
“However, from Monday, September 11th, daily testing, every 15 to 20 minutes, Monday to Friday, will become part and parcel of the city, so it will be very important that people don’t block the line.
She added: "It’s not viable and it’s not allowed.”
We just hope this doesn't happen when the trams become available to the public!
