He explained: "Women can have sexy dreams that end in orgasms, just like men… When you're sleeping, you're in a state of peace and relaxation that allows your subconscious to explore aspects of your life, including sex."
According to Women's Health Magazine it's the rapid eye movement (REM) that causes you to 'climax' in the land of nod.
During REM blood flows to different parts of your body including your sexual organs. This can lead to "clitoral engagement" in women.
So, in actual fact, you aren't physically going through one during your sexy dream but your brain feels like it is and this can lead to an orgasm or feel as good as a real one.
