Fancy your art being displayed in Dublin Airport? Yep, you need to read this

This is pretty cool.

Whether you’re a budding artist, or a longtime pro at painting, it’s always exciting to have your artwork displayed in public.

It could be in a gallery, in a hotel, or in someone’s home, but having your art appreciated gives you a feeling like no other.

However, a major opportunity just came on the horizon where you could have your artwork displayed in Dublin Airport for 15 months.

Dublin Airport, in partnership with NCAD, is holding an open call to invite anyone to submit a piece of work.

It will be displayed on a 7m x 2m billboard at one of Dublin Airport’s boarding gate piers and should have an aeronautical theme.

NCAD Director Sarah Glennie said: “Every year, millions of passengers start or finish journeys in Dublin Airport, coming from and connecting to the rest of the world. This open call invites artists of all types, whether professional or not, the chance to help shape that journey.”

While Dublin Airport Managing Director Vincent Harrison commented: “We’re looking forward to receiving submissions from a wide spectrum of people and I can’t wait to see the winning entry in place and being enjoyed and admired by the travelling public.”

The winning entrant will receive an honorarium of €1,250.

If you want to check out more info on the open call, visit here. The closing date for entries is Friday August 31.
