Feeling the Heat? Six Top Tips for Steamy Summer Nights

But... oh, those summer nights. (Tell me more, tell me more).

It’s not quite so easy to talk about turning up the heat in the bedroom when you’ve spent the whole damn day trying to cool down… 

But, Sandy and Danny knew what they were singing about in Grease, so why not make the best of those summer nights with these hot and steamy tips for summer fun in the bedroom?

1.    Tease It in Your Itsy Bitsy Bikini

Irish women in particular have a talent for feeling like they’re in Antarctica, but dressing like they’re in the Death Valley. Coats? Pah. Tights? Unnecessary. While the sun shines, it’s nice to have an opportunity to dress a little lighter, and not turn blue as a result. Even if you two are just hanging out in the back garden, dress up a little for each other, and take the chance to admire your other half’s summer form, and start getting yourself in the mood.

2.    Girl I Wanna Make You Sweat…

A little perspiration is no bad thing. When we sweat, we release pheromones, which attract the opposite sex. Why do you think all women go weak at the knees for sportsmen? Science. (That and, have you seen these pictures?)

3.    Shower each other with Attention

As much as the thought of a shared shower is a lovely, sexy one, the reality is usually quite different. Irish showers have yet to master the art of a decent, heavy fall of warm water, and given the aforementioned Irish woman’s permanent state of cold, it usually results in a horrendously awkward dance under a dropping shower head that is anything but sexy and steamy. Do it in a heatwave, problem solved. Take your time and soap it up.

4.   Feed Your Desires

Those strawberries in the fridge? Move them to the bedroom. Ditto with the champagne. Cold foods placed on the body and then removed by a warm mouth is a deliciously thrilling sensation. As for the bubbly, try keeping a sip in your mouth, and then placing some kisses in delicate areas. Cue the fireworks.

5.   Slow it Down

Resist the urge for a quickie, and make your summer nights slower and more sensuous. Take your time with a slow erotic massage, your skin needs the moisture after a day in the sun, after all, and then slowly build to full-on action. No workout styles to rival a cardio class, slow and steady is the way you want to rock your world in the heat.

6.    Fun Al Fresco

Just don’t get arrested. If you do, don’t blame us.

Summer is the perfect time to spice up your routine with something a little out of the ordinary. Again, even if it’s just your own backyard, the thrill of the outdoors should not be overestimated. Be careful when choosing your location, but if you find the right one, some heavy petting all the way up to full on action gets a tasty added thrill.
