People are weak over the thoughtful sleepover basket this guy made for his girlfriend

Any lad who'll buy you pads and dry shampoo = a hero.

Lads, take note.

Staying over at your boyfriend’s place – not all it’s cracked up to be.

Obviously there are upsides to the odd conjugal visit but it can mean putting up with conditions that are – *how can we put this kindly?* – less than adequate.

Often, you’re dealing with a bedroom featuring nothing but four walls, a gear bag on the floor and a bed with one flimsy pillow and the same duvet cover he’s been using since before puberty.

In the bathroom, you’d be lucky to find soap and loo roll, not to mind conditioner and a nice candle.

As for the kitchen? Just cans, a fridge full of chicken breasts and a pot of protein powder sitting on the counter.

Yes; lots of lads live super-minimal existences but one guy is earning lots of praise online for making his gaff as welcoming as possible to his other half.

Twitter user Tiegen Dougall shouted-out her boyfriend Aaron online for creating a gift basket that she can dip into when she comes to stay.

His overnight care package included everything from a hairbrush and dry shampoo to pads, face wipes and even a loofah.

“Canny believe Aaron’s made a wee overnight essentials box up for me to keep at his for when I stay,” Tiegen wrote on Twitter, sharing a photo of the gift.

Needless to say, the women of Twitter were weak over the thought that went into the basket.

The original tweet has been liked over 41,000 times in the space of a few days.

We concur. Marry him, Tiegen, before someone else does.
