This hotel welcomed in nearly 1,000 dogs during Hurricane Irma

That's our kinda hotel!

Such a lovely sight.

As Florida recovers from Hurricane Irma, one hotel went above and beyond for its guests.

Many had to flee their homes during the storm, and The Hyatt Regency hotel in Orlando, Florida opened its doors to more than 900 dogs and their families.

The hotel is pet-friendly anyway, but it is now being praised on social media for being extra accommodating as Irma raged on.

Many guests took to Instagram to show their pets roaming around the hotel and even snuggling up to staff.

The hotel told The Dodo: “We proudly welcomed over 4,500 guests and over 900 dogs during Hurricane Irma.

“Our property is typically pet-friendly and we issue a $150 cleaning charge for guests traveling with pets. With Hurricane Irma, we lowered the cleaning fee to $50 due to the circumstances.

“We have dog-walking stations located in areas outside of our hotel, but with the winds and heavy rains we conveniently moved these stations to right outside of the lobby doors, beyond the valet, for guests to take their animals out with minimal effects from the elements.”

We just love seeing all the pups warm and out of the storm!
