House of Cards Actress Elizabeth Norment Has Died, Aged 61

Actress Elizabeth Norment has passed away aged 61. According to reports, her sister Kate confirmed that the actress died on October 13 at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Centre in New York. "Elizabeth Norment was a talented actress with a beautiful spirit who touched the entire House of Cards family," said an executive at the House of Cards production company MRC. Elizabeth played Nancy Kaufberger, secretary to Frank Underwood on the popular Netflix series House of Cards. Prior to that, she had parts in shows including LA Law, Hooperman and Doogie Howser MD. The actress passed away earlier this month She also appeared in the films Runaway, Romy and Michele's High School Reunion and The Woman In Red. Her career also extended to theatre and she starred in two Shakespeare plays, As You Like It and Much Ado About Nothing. The actress is survived by her mother, three sisters, her brother and six nieces and nephews.
