Looking at people aged between 25 and 41 years of age, the peak time in a relationship to wrestle under the duvet was marked at one year.
According to the results, researchers believe that one year marks the time lapse between a couple working out what the other enjoys, with timing helping them to "become familiar with each other's sexual preferences and thus improve their skills in order to pleasure each other."
After one year, couples actively work at maintaining their sexual satisfaction.
Interestingly though, the study didn’t find that having kids took a toll on people’s sex lives.
The findings did indicate that couples that increasingly argue found themselves having a dwindling sex life… but that isn’t exactly news.
