Irish art: 4 places to get the perfect prints for your home

Cassie Stokes

Irish art to inspire you in your home.

Getting bored of staring at the same walls in your house? Aren’t we all! Unless you’ve just embarked on a fresh new renovation you are probably, like most of us, not feeling too inspired by the walls surrounding you.

Well, why not make today the day you decide that you are going to brighten up your space with some stunning art pieces?

Ireland is filled with talent, especially when it comes to prints, ranging from pencilled city skylines to colourful animals.

Here are a few places we found that have stunning options for prints – some on the pricier side and others, a little more affordable.

Audrey Hamilton Art

Audrey is an Irish lady who has an incredible eye for colour and has a talent for painting animals in a quirky way.

If you are looking for something to stand out in a room and bring a pop of joy to your space, then go have a look at some of her prints available on her website. She also does pop up shops every now and then where you could pick a few pieces up.

Retroeire

Another brand I came across that I love is Retroeire, which is all about simple pieces that feature well known landmarks from around the country.

My favourite is the print they have featuring the Poolbeg Towers which is drawn as seen from every angle in the city.

Jando

Jando is a print making studio in Dublin, set up by a husband and wife duo.

They have gorgeous colourful prints featuring recognisable places around Ireland available to order on their website. Everything from the diving board at Blackrock in Galway, to monuments on the board walk in Bray.

The Jam Art Factory

The Jam Art Factory in Dublin is a great spot to find a range of different prints by Irish artists and at a decent price point too. You can pick up some funky city pics as well as some prints with giant text on them.

You can also never go wrong with some DIY by framing cards – not exactly birthday cards but similar.

There are some brilliant cards with clever captions them in a few places in town, Jam Art Factory is one spot that sells them. You could frame these individually or put three together.

They would be really lovely and you’re pretty much guarantee you won’t see them in anyone else’s house…unless they read this article.
