They finished with a flourish. There was heartbreak for Ireland today as they bowed out of the Rugby World Cup at the hands of Argentina in the quarter-final. Despite a strong comeback early on in the second half, Ireland just could not get past a strong and extremely determined Argentine side, and succumbed to a 43 to 20 point defeat. While Argentina will now face the winners of Scotland and Australia in the Rugby World Cup semi-final, there's no doubt that this Irish squad have done themselves and their country extremely proud in this tournament.
