The stunning peach-coloured padparadscha sapphire ring was shown off on Twitter today and drew instant comparisons to the ring famously worn by Princess Diana and now, Kate Middleton. Yes, probably the most famous engagement ring of all time was given to Kate when Prince William proposed in 2010 and has been compared to the oval-cut ring just recently given to Princess Eugenie.Princess Eugenie and Mr. Jack Brooksbank will marry at St George's Chapel, Windsor Castle, in the Autumn. pic.twitter.com/3QDE0UDqeb

However, on closer inspection, Eugenie’s ring bears a stronger resemblance to the one her mother, Sarah Ferguson, wore when she became engaged to Prince Andrew.
As for the cost of the royal ring? Well, experts are pricing the piece at around £7,000 (€7,977). Relatively cheap when you compare it to the £25,000 (€28,489) Prince Andrew forked out for her mum’s ring back in 1986.
