It’s not easy being single. Add the fact that you might be a little rusty if you just came out of a relationship, it’s safe to say the dating scene can be a bit of a nightmare. Who approaches who? So when McGowans of Phisborough decided to have a singles night yesterday, we’re sure a few Dubliners took their chances and headed along. Sure what had they got to lose? One reader Eilis got in touch to let us know that not only had she attended, she was gifted with a rather unusual guide… Sending us a series of screenshots, Eilis wrote: “Me and some friends tried out McGowans singles night last night, not great! However they really pulled out all the stops, including a handy guide to seduction.... See attached!” As well as the “5 smart seduction instructions”, the manual offers up the 10 best chat up lines for him and her, as well as what not to say and the sexiest underwear for each sex. While we’re not 100% sure of The Beginners Guide To Seduction’s success, we’d love to know if it happened to work its magic on any of the singletons last night. Who said romance was dead?
