Research Suggests Your Outfit Might Have An Impact On How You Match On Tinder

Apparently, and we don't know how to feel about it, what you're wearing in your Tinder photo could have an effect on your matches. Data published on Mashable suggests that wearing neutral colours means you blend into the background and your profile goes unnoticed. The study comprised of 12,000 profile photos and found that 72 percent of men and 56.2 percent of women opted for basic colours. Black was the most popular followed by white, blue and grey. Online dating is a tough game... Speaking about the results, Dr. Jessica Carbino, a sociologist who works at Tinder, said: "A profile photo provides an important glimpse into an individual's personality. "While the type of clothing an individual wears is not directly associated with being liked or not, clothing is one factor in creating the portrait of who a person is". In order to win more dates, Tinder says bright colours make more of an impact when looking at someone's profile. "Given that the vast majority of users are wearing neutral colors, individuals who want to make a splash should wear a vibrant color".
