What an amazing thing to do.
Christmas is all about giving and Rosie Connolly has done just that. The influencer has revealed that she has raised a massive amount of money for two children’s hospitals – Temple Street Children’s Hospital and Crumlin Children’s Hospital – all by doing a giveaway on her Instagram account.
Only 15 hours ago, Rosie shared an image of a Gucci bag and said she would be gifting it to one of her followers. She wrote that if you wanted to enter the competition, you would have to go onto the Go Fund Me page she set up and donate from €5 upwards.
The page has been inundated with entries, and at the time of writing, Rosie has raised €95,182. How amazing!
Taking to Instagram Stories last night, she said: “I swore I wasn’t going to come on and cry but I’ve spend the last hour bawling. Thank you so much to everyone who has donated. I had this idea a few weeks ago after visiting the hospitals… and I was like, ‘I have to do something, I have to help in some way.’
“I thought there was no way we’d get to 10k. It’s an incredible thing to raise money for.”
She then wrote on her stories: “Social media can be a very nasty, negative, mean place at times but tonight kind wins.”
“Kindess is everything and for you all to join me in raising money for the innocent ones in all of this, our children… I’m so proud of social media tonight.”
