Selena Gomez’s necklace shows what she really thinks about Trump

This isn't the first time she's made such a statement.

Selena Gomez isn’t the first celeb to hint at her distrust of Donald Trump, and she certainly won’t be the last.

While some famous faces like Cher, Demi Lovato, and John Legend have been incredibly vocal about their feelings towards the 45th POTUS, others are choosing to be more subtle with their criticisms.

Selena Gomez is one of those people.

Rather than taking to social media to share her thoughts, the singer and actress decided to show everyone what she really thought by wearing a necklace boasting the words ‘We the people.’

And following the violent events that unfolded in Charlottesville last weekend when hundreds of white nationalists marched through the streets, it’s a subtle nod worth giving.

Especially considering Trump himself only went so far as to criticise violence “on both sides” at the protest.

The ‘We the people’ necklace was launched by The Slow Factory this Summer as a response to Trump’s Muslim ban.

It costs $75 with 10 percent of profits going to the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) – a group that staunchly opposes Trump’s strict immigration policies while supporting the removal of Confederate statues.

The removal of Confederate symbols was the issue that led to the protests and counter-protests in Charlottesville last week.

The march left one woman dead.

Selena also incorporated an anti-Trump message into her fashion choices earlier this year when she showed up to a Grammys after-party wearing a jacket that said ‘God bless nasty women’ on the back.

Trump called Hillary Clinton “such a nasty woman” during a TV debate before he became president.
