Alright, alright so Knockdrin castle is absolutely not the answer to all of our grim property woes but if it was it would be an absolute delight.
Located in Westmeath near enough to Mullingar, the property is home to a glorious carved oak staircase, five bathrooms, seven bedrooms, a library, a wine cellar and a stunning reception hall.
The castle has also played host to a range of well-known faces over the years from Winston Churchill to the former president of DCU, professor Ferdinand Von Prondzyndski - the family of whom has owned the castle since the 1960s.
The property is currently being sold by Sotheby's International Realty for a cool €13.5 million.
It's a little more than we are personally willing to drop on a new gaf but judging by the photos of the castle's interior, we can absolutely see the appeal.
Sotheby's have described the castle as "elegant and bright.
According to them, "Knockdrin's late-mediaeval trappings are lightly worn and the castle is in essence a classical Georgian country house in Gothic dress."
Buyers may be expected to pay more money for this castle than we've ever dreamed of, but we're still guessing that it won't be all that long before this property is snapped up by somebody.
Somebody with a lot of cash and expensive taste.
