2. Live in the now
Don't let your thoughts drift into the past or future more than necessary. Focusing on the present stops negative streams of thoughts from filling your mind.
3. Do something nice for someone else
The quickest way to feel more positive about the world is actually to do something kind for someone else. Random acts of kindness are widely regarded as having a major influence on our happiness levels.
4. Never compare yourself to others
Analysing your success against other people's is a sure-fire way to start a negative stream of thoughts. You're never going to measure up. Remember, the things that you take for granted are things other people wish for.
5. Surround yourself with positive people
Let's face it, some people are parasites who will suck out your happiness and energy no matter what. Reflect on the people in your life, and ditch the naysayers.
