The B*tchiest App Of All Time Is About To Hit The Apple Store…

Prepare for all-out war.

Imagine if the Burn Book in Mean Girls was a real thing?

Where you can rank and comment on anyone you know. From those girls in the office, to that teacher you used to have a crush on – nobody is off limits.

Paraded as a ‘positivity’ app, Peeple won’t require consent for users to leave their mark.

Launching in November, Peeple will allow users to rate and search human beings, which will no doubt add a new layer to cyber stalking, bullying and the rumour mill.

Founded by Julia Cordray and Nicole McCullough, the app will allow people to rate one another on a one to five-star rating scale once they’re over 21 with an active Facebook account.

As well as the reviews being listed under the person’s own name, they must also indicate how they know the person they’re rating – whether it’s personal, professional or romantic (although Catfish has taught us all about the possibility of doubling up a profile).

Unfortunately, ignorance isn’t bliss, and you’ll be notified by text the moment a profile is made about you:

“check out what X said about you on our app.”

When questioned on the need for such an app, Cordray told the Washington Post:

“People do so much research when they buy a car or make those kinds of decisions. Why not do the same kind of research on other aspects of your life?”

The app has already documented thousands of sign-ups to test the beta stages of development, with the company’s share value set at $7.6million already.

Let’s just hope for some people, it pays to be nice.
