The most unforgettable moments from The Rose of Tralee ever

Cassie Delaney

The Rose of Tralee is a national treasure.

Sure, the lovely girls competition isn’t to everyone’s taste, but whether you love it or hate it, you won’t be able to avoid it. So let’s embrace it. And while we’re at it, let’s embrace the greatest moments in history ever.

For as long as you live, may you never forget the Dublin dancer.

In 2011, Dublin rose and fucking inspiration, Siobheal Nic Eochaidh displayed the finest talent e’er to grace the stage.

And don’t you dare forget the Moment the Monaghan Rose MORTIFIED the Louth Rose on National TV

Last year, twitter positively LIT UP when the Monaghan Rose took to the stage. Mostly, because she took the opportunity to completely mortify her own brother and a fellow Rose. Just watch as this unfolds… poor old Louth is scarlet.

May you always dream about the time Sunderland Rose Niamh O’ Connell didn’t really have a talent so she pretended to be a banana. Banana’s of the world unite.

And lest we forget the time the New Orleans Rose begged her boyfriend not to propose and he did anyway.

If that wasn’t Irish enough, their journey down the aisle was documented in an RTÉ documentary entitled The Proposal. Bless our little green aisle.

And finally NEVER EVER FORGET that you can appear on National TV and just mimic a dolphin.
