There’s a Harry Potter river cruise this summer and it sounds magical

Time to start saving your galleons and sickles.

There’s a Harry Potter river cruise coming to London this summer and, to be honest, it sounds absolutely magical.

For those fans who always dreamed of crossing The Great Lake on one of the little wooden boats to start your first year at Hogwarts, the six day cruise will make at least some of those wishes come true.

The trip, which is being offered by American company Barge Lady Cruises, has put together the Harry Potter Magic Cruise.

The boat can fit up to eight passengers in four rooms, which means that you can bring along some of the finest witches and wizards you know on the all-inclusive trip.

Some of the stops along the cruise include Virginia Water, where Harry first met Buckbean the hippogriff in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban; Dorney Court, the site of No 4 Privet Drive in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone; and the Great Hall at Christ Church College in Oxford, which ended up inspiring Hogwarts’ own room of the same name.

Fans will also be treated to a stop over at the Harry Potter sets in Warner Brothers Studios to enjoy any props and costumes from the eight films.

According to the company’s website, the Harry Potter cruise sets sail from August 19 to 25 and September 16 to 22.

Entertainment Weekly reports that another sailing was scheduled for August 5-11.

But as enchanting as this all sounds, there is a small catch.

You’ll need to be ready to splash the cash for a chance to board the river cruise.

The trip costs approximately €26,859.91, which can be split up eight ways (depending how many people are going).
