This Irish Bride Had the Perfect Culinary Surprise for Her Guests

Nice work Ciara, you're our kind of girl.

A nice three-course meal at a wedding is all well and good, but if most guests were honest we’d admit that the most anticipated food usually arrives at midnight.

The speeches are done, the wine is on board and the dancing is well under way – you’ve had the chance to work up a whole new appetite.

Ciara Rigney and Philip Smyth tied the knot on Friday and with any luck they may just have started a whole new trend for wedding food.

Along with the teas and the coffees, both bride and groom chose a snack for guests. While Philip’s choice of bacon baps do indeed look delicious, we’re all about Ciara’s uniquely Irish offer… Tayto sandwiches.

The tasty treats were served at the couple’s reception in the Hodson Bay Hotel and went down a storm with guests.

It wasn’t Ciara’s only culinary feat at the shindig, however – she also made her own wedding cake, and it looks absolutely amazing. Philip, you lucked out there.
