Maybe it was the lyrics, or the sentiment, or maybe it was the fact that every time Adele sings a song we melt into a puddle of lovelorn nostalgia. The same couldn’t be said for men though, with just 17 per cent surveyed feeling the throwback trauma of a break-up after listening to the hit single. ‘Hello’ has been one of Adele’s greatest hits, having reached 27.7 million streams in 24hours. The track later smashed records, selling more than 1.1 million digital songs in the first week. It also became the first song ever to break the 1 million download mark on the Billboard charts.
