This man’s reaction to Ireland’s Eurovision result is the best thing you’ll see today

Rory Cashin

This is an emotional roller-coaster if we’ve ever seen one.

In case you missed it, Ireland got through to the final of the Eurovision, following the first semi-final on Tuesday evening.

Ryan O’Shaughnessy’s beautiful ballad ‘Together’ won over the Lisbon crowd, as well as the voters watching at home around Europe, not to mention Ireland’s competition commentator Marty Whelan, who had his own brilliant reaction to the qualification.

However, you’d be hard pressed to find a better reaction that the one you’re about to watch.

Obvious Eurovision superfan Martin Jones from Dublin is watching as the ten winners are named and qualify for the final, and is so convinced that Ireland isn’t going to make – “The best song of the night isn’t going through and we should just give up!” – that he works himself up into a frenzy.

Which makes it all the better that we know Ireland is the tenth and final name to be called out, and when they do… Well, his reaction is guaranteed to put a smile on your face for the rest of the day.

Also, maybe watch this with headphones in, because good ol’ Martin is prone to dropping an F-bomb here and there when he’s convinced Ireland is going home…
