This two-year-old girl has won Halloween with her headless costume

She’s head and shoulders above the competition.

A two-year-old girl has caused a stir this Halloween with her “headless” trick-or-treating costume.

Krystel Hwang created the creepy costume for her daughter, Maya – and shared plenty of shots online. The eerie getup shows a decapitated head seemingly being served up on a platter.

She shared a video of Maya trick-or-treating with her sister, Charlie, over the weekend – and one of them has been viewed millions of times.

Charlie was dressed as a butcher, wielding a large faux-knife and wearing zombie makeup.

One of the videos shows Maya walking up to someone in their village in Parañaque City, Philippines to receive candy. But instead of taking the treats in her hands, Maya got them to put it in her neck – where her head should be.

Krystel told Coconut Manila that she gets her kids to help her in the creation of their costumes – that way, they’re not scared of the end result.

She added:

“They’re not scared because we made the costume together and my kids have watched Halloween makeup tutorials on YouTube and so they know it’s fake and it’s all makeup.”

She also spoke about the reaction of other people when they came across Maya and her creative outfit.

She continued:

“People gave second looks when they saw it. They were amazed how it was even possible, but in the end, they all think it’s cute and very smart.”
