Tag your boss, tag your friends.
Doss around, make some tea, have a chat and then finally shut your laptop, it’s time to go.
Today is a special day for it is National Leave Work Early Day.
Yes, that’s a real thing.
We’re not sure why – all we know is that leaving work at 4 today is unofficially, officially a thing.
It’s something that Red Bull has picked up on and has built a marketing campaign around, encouraging folks to clock off early and, presumably, enjoy one of their energy drinks.

But not everyone is happy about this newly-invented national holiday,
As lots of people have very rightly pointed out on social media, only some of us work in a nine to five job.
Factor in the increasing demands being put on workforces by their employers and the hashtag #4pmFinish isn’t much to shout about for everyone.
Happy #Friday everyone! We want to thank everyone out there who won’t get to finish at 4pm today because of the industry they work in. We think @redbull completely glaze over the fact that not everybody is office based. What about #Doctors & #Midwives? #4pmFinish pic.twitter.com/eqvgKSgY3y

Care workers won’t be getting a #4pmfinish today. In fact a lot if them will be on shifts of 16 hours or longer. And won’t even be paid NMW if they’re on a #sleepin thanks to #mencap and #careengland . #awakeonasleepin

LOL I have to scream at this hashtag #4pmFinish
I literally start work at 4pm ?
I swear people complete glaze over the fact that not everybody is office based— ? (@MrLukasBye) September 14, 2018
How about “abolish capitalism so you have more times to do the things you love”?
Though obviously a drink made of sugar & caffeine wouldn’t support that message. #4pmFinish

This hashtag makes literally no sense. I finish work at 6pm, like, there’s no choice in the matter… #4pmFinish pic.twitter.com/U2fwJX1r0t

#4pmFinish is all well and good but why not 3pm finish? Why not 4 day week ? Why are people working themselves to death just to buy more clothes, bigger cars, gadgets, and other shit just to impress their neighbours?
