Travel photographer reveals the trick to taking the perfect Insta worthy pic

We’re listening.

How many times have you gone away on holidays and taken loads of what you thought were class pics, only to return to your home and realise that what you had snapped was actually total rubbish?

Lots, we’re guessing.

There is honestly nothing worse than not being able to take decent photos when you’re away.

After all, how in God’s name is anyone to know that you had a nice time out in Ibiza if you can’t post 11 Instagrams about it?

(Not including Insta Stories, of course.)

It’s a tough issue, one that cannot be easily solved by simply getting a better camera or going to better places on holiday.

Taking pics is an art and we, unfortunately, just aren’t quite there yet.

One person who is there though is travel photographer, Brian Chorski.

The 23-year-old recently told UpRoxx all about his many secrets to taking the perfect picture and, honestly, a lot of them are the same tip said different ways so we’re going to go ahead and zone in on just one that does make a lot of sense.

Don’t plan.

It’s as simple as that, apparently.

According to Brian, planning a photo meticulously leaves little room for creativity and, at the end of the day, creativity is what makes good art.

He said:

“I would say keep the planning to a very minimum.

“Have a good idea of where you want to end up and who you want to be with, but from there let your creativity, your fun playful side show.”

Brian’s trick makes sense too.

After all, how many times have you asked all the gals to line up for a photo before a night out only to have the snap turn out to be the most awkwardly posed, non-interesting image in the entire world?

It’s happened to us. A lot.

Essentially, the key here is to chill out and make it look like you don’t care about taking the perfect photo.

Only then will you, apparently, take the perfect photo.
