You can now travel through the Canadian Rockies in a glass train

There are worse ways to travel, in fairness.

If you have any working knowledge of Canada or the US at all, you'll be more than well aware of the glorious mountain range that is The Rockies. Stretching from British Columbia and Alberta all the way to New Mexico, the mountains have been a considerable hit with tourists, locals, and mountain-fans for a very long time. Of course they have. They're The Rockies. And now you can travel through them in a glass-domed train so yeah, something a bit different. Rocky Mountaineer are running the entirely stunning view-based journey on their GoldLeaf Service, meaning that visitors will never miss a moment of the incredible range. The dream, tbh. The four new train carriages, three more of which are expected to be added to the fleet next year, include an outdoor viewing platform, breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and a level of luxury that can only be reserved for such bougie experiences. The first carriages will be added to two already popular routes: the two-day trip from Vancouver to Lake Louise or Banff and the two-day trip from Vancouver to Jasper. Steve Sammut, president and chief executive officer of Rocky Mountaineer, said the company wants to enhance the train experience for their guests. A statement reads: "We were intentional in designing these new cars to offer the same exemplary guest comfort across the entire fleet, while also making numerous engineering enhancements behind the scenes that reflect our goal of constantly enhancing both the experience and efficiency of our service."
