Popular travel ratings website TripAdvisor has this week released its Top Ten Irish destinations according to the annual Travellers’ Choice Awards.
There’s a new winner this year as Killarney has topped the pile for Ireland for the first time, with Dublin moving to second spot followed by Dingle, Galway and Donegal town.
The remainder of the Top Ten is made up of Westport, Cork, Sligo, Doolin and Tralee.
“In Ireland, the competition is just fierce, with Killarney jumping above Dublin to claim top sport for the first time,” said TripAdvisor’s James Kay.
In terms of global destinations, Marrakech topped the list with Siem Reap in Cambodia bagging second place. Meanwhile, Istanbul, Hanoi and Prague made up the remainder of the global destinations Top Five.
