There’s another old man all alone at Christmas, and it’s devastating.
A new Christmas ad has entered the fray this week ladies and gents, and it’s just as much of an emotional rollercoaster as all of the others (John Lewis, we’re looking at you).
The ad, released by German supermarket Edeka, features an elderly man who is all on his own at Christmas.
The man gets phone calls from various members of his family to let him know they won’t be making Christmas this year.
As the camera lingers on him eating at home all alone (seriously, get the tissues), there’s one final massive twist that’s caused quite a big debate online.
Regardless of what way you look at it though the message is clear – don’t take anything for granted, and be sure to spend time with your loved ones this festive season.
(Oh, and always carry a tissue in your pocket for these ads that seem to drop out of nowhere and kick us right in our tear ducts)
