Brought to you by Electric Ireland
Take this opportunity to be part of a truly special event.
From Dublin to Darwin, Sligo to Sydney, thousands of people will be joining Pieta House for its annual Darkness Into Light walk on Saturday May 7th.
The event, sponsored by
Electric Ireland, aims to raise awareness of the issues of suicide and self-harm in Ireland.
Some of Ireland's most recognisable faces - including Miriam O'Callaghan, rugby player Jack McGrath and Fashion Power duo Brendan Courtney and Sonya Lennon - have lent their support those marching in the 120 different venues that are hosting the walk.

The idea for the event was born in the Phoenix Park in 2008, when 400 people marched in the first Darkness Into Light walk. This year, Pieta House estimates that over 120,000 people will take part across the globe.
Online registration is open now, and can be done quickly and easily on the
Pieta House website.
The walks will start at 4.15am on May 7 and last for 5km, ending at around the time that the sun rises. Runners/walkers are advised to arrive at 4.00am to allow for parking.
If you can't take part in the walk, remember that you can still help Pieta House by donating. Simply text PIETA to 50300 to donate €2.
