A Chinese woman has had a spider and its woven web removed from her ear canal, after she heard persistent scratching inside her ear.
The woman, Ms Li, went to hospital in Xiamen, China when she found a constant scratching in her ear refusing to subside. Li added that she had been feeling an intense pain in one of her ears.
She was told by doctors that they had found a spider in her ear canal – before doctors used medicated ear drops to sedate the spider before extracting it under surgery.
