While we might have grown up fighting with our sisters over the landline, or waiting for the click to know there was a second person on the line, the fact is some kids have never used a household telephone.
They’re used to iPhones, smartphones, maybe even a cordless home telephone, but a traditional landline is probably a stretch too far.
When one girl Layla was waiting with her mam and dad in a hotel room, she encountered the new technology she’d never come to grips with before.
The final straw?
When Layla’s dad asks her to hang up the phone, she spends a good few seconds searching for the touch screen or red button until her mum steps in to help.
We’ll just file landline alongside cassette tapes and floppy discs for technology we wish we didn’t have to admit we used the first time round…
