Legendary Wexford camogie star Mags D’arcy has given fans an insight into life behind the scenes as an intercounty star for a new series kicking off on RTÉ this week.

Mags features in the GAA documentary Páirc Life and talks about life on the playing field and trying to recover from injury.

“Logically, it’s getting my body right. My heart is saying to just get back on the field so I have to try and control those two emotions.

“People think it’s just a game but when you’re in that zone, you’re in that environment, you’re part of a religion. When you’re part of a religion, you get up every day and you worship that religion.”
