There will be half price entry into Dublin Zoo for two days this week

Olivia Hayes

It’s to celebrate World Animal Day.

If you fancy taking a trip to Dublin Zoo this weekend then you’re going to get in for half price. The zoo is celebrating World Animal Day on October 5 and 6, where an international day of action aims to raise awareness of animals with a focus on endangered species, protecting natural habitats and supporting animal welfare.

Even thought World Animal Day occurs on October 4, the zoo is extending the celebrations on the 5 and 6, as well as October 12 and 13 where you will gain half price entry too.

There will be loads of activities on during this weekend from 12-4pm including arts and crafts, face painting, keeper talks as well as lots of opportunities to learn fun and interesting facts about animals.

Discounted tickets must be purchased in person at the Dublin Zoo Ticket Office and are not available to buy online. Discounted tickets are applicable to full price adult, child and family tickets only, groups and concessions not included.

Dublin Zoo opens daily from 9.30am-5.30pm.
