Speaking to MailOnline, London based Plastic Surgeon Nilesh Sojitra warned against the technique:
“A procedure like this would involve being injected with a significant-sized needle, which could cause bleeding. It could cause a large bruise and could potentially cause a large pool of blood inside the body.
“Because it's an unregulated procedure, there are no studies showing how the saline solution might interact with breast tissue and cells.”
Arguing the dangers of the procedure, Sojitra added:
“A bona-fide, accredited plastic surgeon wouldn't offer an unregulated procedure such as this but you may get some clinics prepared to offer it because it has the potential to make money for them; there's a large population [of women] who'd want it.”
